Among the applicants are Geir Solem, acting chief of police in the East police district, and Brita Cecilie Lilaas-Skari, who for a period served as chief of police in Oslo.

Lilaas-Skari has been deputy chief of police in Oslo since January 2022 and has previous experience as, among other things, deputy chief of the Police’s immigration unit and head of department at Kripos.

Solem has police experience, including as section leader at Felles operational unit in the former Follo police district, as police station chief at Follo police station and head of PST East.

Solem has been Deputy Chief of Police in the East Police District since 2019.

The district has been merged from the former police districts Follo, Romerike and Østfold.
