Two Alytus archers have been invited to represent the Lithuanian national team at the European Championship

On May 7-12 of this year, Essen (Germany) will host the European Archery Championship and the continental selection stage for the Paris Olympic Games. 8 Lithuanian archers will test their strength in the competition. The representatives of the Alytus archery club “Žaliasis lankas” – Paulina Ramanauskaitė and Inga Timinskienė – have already secured 2 places in this team.

According to the decision approved by the Lithuanian Archery Federation (LLF), 4 Olympic archers (3 men and 1 woman) and 4 pulley archers (3 men and 1 woman) will go to Germany. Since the European Championship takes place early and applications for participation in it are submitted before the start of the summer season in Lithuania, candidates for the national team are selected based on last year’s results and one selection stage, which will take place on March 24. By the decision of the LLF, after evaluating last year’s results, both women’s places in the national team were immediately taken by the representatives of Alytus – P. Ramanauskaitė (Olympic hoops) and I. Timinskienė (pulley hoops).
3 more people from Alysti were invited to the selection to be held in Kaunas. Men’s teams will be formed based on the results of these competitions. Emilis Tamulionis, Rolandas Baranauskas and Giedrius Kavaliauskas are claiming to be in the Lithuanian national team.
