Two 16-year-olds damaged dozens of vehicles in Bonn. Windows were smashed, tires were stabbed – apparently out of boredom.
Officials of the police Bad Godesberg arrested two 16-year-old rioters. The youngsters have in Bonn-Friesdorf 34 vehicles willfully damaged. The police said on Monday.
According to current knowledge, the boys are said to have tampered with several parked cars at around 1:20 a.m. on Monday night. They smashed windows, smashed tires and stole valuable items such as an iPod and a sports bag from the vehicles. Witnesses then alerted the police. Several patrol cars went out and the rioters were put up.
One of the 16-year-olds was temporarily arrested, but released after consulting the Bonn public prosecutor. Investigations are continuing against both young people. The police already knew about several crimes.
