Elon Musk announces upcoming changes to Twitter, both at the level of the “For you” page and at the level of polls. In both cases, it is about Twitter Blue.
Twitter Blue mandatory for certain points
Starting April 15, each user’s “For You” page will only recommend verified accounts, meaning they have the blue badge and are therefore Twitter Blue followers. “This is the only realistic way to deal with takeover by advanced bot groups relying on artificial intelligence. Otherwise, it’s a losing battle.”, assure Elon Musk.
For a similar reason, Elon Musk announces that only people who subscribe to Twitter Blue will be able to respond to surveys posted by users on the social network.
Starting April 15th, only verified accounts will be eligible to be in For You recommendations.
The is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over. It is otherwise a hopeless losing battle.

For the past few days, the Twitter Blue subscription has been available worldwide. The offer was so far in 50 countries, including France. The subscription costs €9.60/month or €100.80/year via the Web. From the mobile app, it’s €11/month or €114.99/year. Here is what the subscription gives access to:
- Certified account with a blue tick
- Be at the top of replies, mentions, and search results. Tweets from certified users will be prioritized, which is intended to contribute to the fight against false information and spam. This function will be available soon.
- Twice as many ads. This function will be available soon.
- Possibility to publish longer videos (60 minutes).
- Vidéos en Full HD (1080p).
- Early access to some new features thanks to Twitter Blue Lab.
- Ability to edit a tweet up to five times within 30 minutes of posting it.
- Show their personality and choose an NFT that you own as their profile picture.
