Twitter’s Global Chief Integrity Officer, Yoel Rothhas announced that the social network will introduce labels to the ‘tweets’ that share links to media websites affiliated with Russia to “reduce” the circulation of this type of content on Twitter.

“Today, we are adding labels to ‘tweets’ that share links to Russian state-affiliated media websites and are taking steps to significantly reduce the circulation of this content on Twitter,” Roth wrote on the social network.
Likewise, it has been reported that these labels will be implemented in other media affiliates to Russia in the coming weeks.
This measure has been announced after the European Union has proposed to ban Russian official media such as Russia Today O Sputnik.
