Twitter, one of the leading social networking sites to feature the « cancel tweet« soon.
The micro-blogging application, Twitter, will soon be rolling out its new “Cancel Tweet” feature. Now the question arises, what is this “Cancel Tweet” feature?
Unlike most apps like WhatsApp, Instagram and Signal which comes with the ability to stop sending messages, Twitter’s cancel feature will also be somewhat similar. The only difference will be that the non-sending time of messages will be very limited, similar to that of Gmail.
A few minutes after you tweet, if anyone wants to give it up, they can. Users will have a limited time to cancel sending the tweet.
When will this feature be deployed and for whom?
This new functionality will be reserved for paying users. This is a subscription-only feature. Those who pay for it will have access to this new feature.
Reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong, shared a screenshot on Twitter showing how the undo feature could look and work. However, the image is provisional, for show purposes only. Reality may differ.
She also suggested that when this new feature becomes available, it will only be for paid users. The “Cancel Tweet” feature will allow users to cancel a tweet rather than deleting it. The new feature is currently in the testing phase according to the CNET report.
The “Cancel Tweet” feature was a much anticipated feature among twitterati as it will help correct typos made while tweeting. Also, it will add to the revenue generation for the business as users will have to pay to use the new feature. It will also help convince people to join Twitter.
