Twitter Will Have User Send Money Feature

Suara.com – Twitter is reportedly testing tip feature or money to users Another Twitter. This tipping option will be presented in shape button new icon next to the icon direct message.

This was first revealed by application researcher Jane Manchun Wong. He uploaded a screenshot in the form of a cash button on his profile as well as the payment method.

Quoting The Verge, Sunday (2/4/2021), the payment options presented are Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal, and Venmo. Users can choose which services will be used in sending tips to other users.

Apart from sending tips, Wong also shared leaks of Twitter’s new feature called ‘Tip Jar’. This payment feature will be aimed at their new audio-social service, Spaces.

The payment options presented are Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal, and Venmo [The Verge].

This Jar Tip is similar to the direct payments feature which Clubhouse introduced in early April. They can transfer money to other users directly through the app.

Wong also said Twitter was working on a Super Follow feature that would allow users to access exclusive content. Unlike the ‘Follow’ option which has appeared in blue, the ‘Super Follow’ button will appear in black.

Twitter itself has not officially announced the tip feature. There is no guarantee whether the company will actually release it publicly.

In addition, it is not clear how the provisions for obtaining the tip option are. Chances are, their account must be verified or have a certain number of followers.
