Every day we get up and learn something new. It may be that the sun is shining, the Earth is round, or that Rage Against The Machine is a band with clear political messages. The latter came as a big surprise to many Twitter users. That’s why they cried out to heaven when the group published a message of support for the victims of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
“The violence and atrocities we are witnessing in Sheikh Jarrah, the Al Aqsa compound and Gaza are the continuation of decades of violence aside and Israel’s violent occupation of Palestine, “the group wrote in a tweet which was then completed with:”We support the Palestinian people in their resistance to this colonial terror in all its forms.».
The musicians’ protest follows terrible news broadcast by the BBC that at least 83 Palestinians and seven people in Israel have been killed as a result of the war in the Middle East.
The tweeters cared little that it was a humanitarian crisis, they apparently preferred the band to close their eyes and devote themselves entirely to music. Luckily, there were people who bothered to find out about the band and the messages of their songs and they answered the first with grace and irony.
