Lately, social media has featured innovative features. Last year, Twitter incorporated ephemeral posts called Fleets, tweets that disappear after 24 hours, similar to Instagram and Facebook stories. Later, Snapchat created Spotlight, a section very similar to the Reels of Instagram.

Now through a short video (less than 30 seconds), Twitter has shown the operation of Spaces, the function to communicate through voice messages, which is currently in beta mode, but will work for iOS and Android.

How does it work?

Spaces is a space within the social network of the blue bird that allows you to create voice message chats to communicate with another person or with a group. In it, members can decide whether to participate as a listener or to also speak. As with applications like Discord.

In the short footage, a Pixel device appears with the function activated, which allows the user create a ‘space’, that is, a chat room and choose who you want to join. You can also request to join one already created, and as we told you, decide if you want to do it as a listener or as a speaker, if you want to intervene.
