Twitter Tests ‘Upvote’ and ‘Downvote’ Features on Some iOS Users

“We’re testing this to understand what types of replies you find relevant in a conversation, so we can figure out how to show more replies,” Twitter wrote.

In addition, Twitter confirmed several key notes in the trial. The first is that it is still being done as an experiment.

Second, the reaction is not a “dislike” or “dislike.” Third, “downvote” will only be visible to the user, and finally the vote or vote will not change the order of replies.

It is not yet known whether Twitter will add the feature voting these as permanent features, as well as how it affects what users see on feed.
