Twitter seems to be testing Spaces for Android

Spaces that can be imagined as clubhouse have been around for a long time in Twitter for iOS. This feature will soon find its way into the Android app.

As our founder David Wurm explained in the TechnikCast issue linked above, Clubhouse is a voice chat app. There are so-called rooms on various topics in which you can chat with other people. The app is particularly popular in times of the “eternal home office”. Twitter also developed a feature called Spaces. However, this was previously only reserved for the platform’s iOS app.

Such functionality is now also being tested in the Android version of Twitter. Android users can try this out for themselves, but you need a very specific beta. You can find a link to this in the embedded tweet, then you can try for yourself whether it already works for you. Just note that errors or undesirable behavior can still occur. After all, this is a test version of the app and not the app from the Play Store. For example, it is not yet possible to create your own space – you can currently only join others. It is not known when this feature will be available as an update in the Play Store.
