After Twitter recently confirmed that the golden hook would cost $1,000 a month, the platform is now sending more emails to inform users about the verification. It will be particularly expensive for users in Europe.
$1,000 a month for the golden hook: Twitter shocked users with this news in February 2022. While the blue tick is available for individual users for between US$ 7.99 and $11 a month, depending on the type of device, businesses for whom the golden tick is intended have to dig much deeper into their pockets. Now Twitter seems to be sending more messages to businesses interested in verification. After activating the professional account, the proud price, here in Australian dollars, is also displayed:

That is included in the price
Also on the Help page for verified organizations the price for the subscription can now be seen. In addition to the $1,000 per month, Twitter charges an additional $50 per month for each account associated (and thus registered) with the organization.
A Twitter Verified Organizations subscription is $1,000/month (plus any applicable tax) and $50/month (plus any applicable tax) for each additional affiliate in the U.S. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.
In addition to the golden tick, businesses get access to all Twitter Blue features as part of the subscription, including the option to post significantly longer tweets and prioritized ranking in the replies. Businesses can also access a new portal for verified organizations. Here you can, for example, select and edit accounts that should receive an affiliate badge. Whether all of this justifies the price of $1,000 a month is a matter of opinion.
Users in Europe have to pay more
Also now on Twitter’s help page for verified organizations are the Subscription costs seen in different countries. While the price of $1,000 a month for US users is already extremely high, the subscription for users in Europe is even more expensive. Users in various EU countries, including Germany, have to pay 950 euros a month, which corresponds to around 1,033 US dollars. It gets even more expensive for users in the United Kingdom – here the subscription costs £950, which is almost US$1,170. Many companies are likely to decide against acquiring the golden hook in view of the price.
