Twitter prohibits the sharing of photos and videos by private individuals without consent

Twitter Inc. said users will no longer be able to share private media such as photos and videos of another person without their permission, a move aimed at improving privacy and security.

“Sharing personal media such as pictures or videos can potentially violate a person’s privacy and lead to emotional or physical damage.” Twitter said in a blog post on Tuesday. “The abuse of private media can affect anyone, but it can have disproportionate effects on women, activists, dissidents and members of minority communities.”
