San Francisco US short messaging service Twitter is unavailable to thousands of users due to a global outage. This emerged Thursday from the data of the Downdetector.com site, which collects reports of failures from various sources. According to the website, as of 01.40am (CET) at night, over 10,000 people reported problems logging into the social media site. Some users have also reported that the notification feature is not working. The cause of the failure initially remained unclear.
