Some time ago, Twitter introduced a tab called “For You”, which, to put it mildly, was received with mixed feelings from the community. Recently, this view, designed to highlight recommendations, was made the default. That was not well received by the users. In the meantime, the social network has come to an understanding: Twitter on the web will now select the view that you used last as the default for you.
In other words, if you last used the “For You” tab as the view for your feed, then you will also see this area next time. However, if you prefer the chronological view in the “Following” tab, then you will see it again as the default if you last used it. On the web, this adjustment is already taking effect today. This should also be the case “soon” in the apps for Android and iOS.
Were any of you (all of you) asking for your timeline to default to where you left it last?

Very good thing, which I very much welcome as a casual Twitter user. I don’t think much of the “For You” tab generated by an algorithm and prefer to look at tweets in chronological order. How do you manage that?
