Twitter has labeled a message from Forum for Democracy party leader Thierry Baudet as misleading. In the tweet from March 7 he writes that he will absolutely not be vaccinated. According to him, corona is not at all dangerous for him and the side effects of the vaccine are severe.
Now that Twitter has qualified the message as misleading, the responses to the tweet can no longer be seen and the message can no longer be shared.
As far as we know, it is the first time that Twitter has called a message from a Dutch politician misleading. The company did it before with reports from former US President Trump. Later he was even banned from the platform.
Forum for Democracy has denounced the decision of the American tech company. “If that is not foreign interference in Dutch democracy, what is?”, The party writes on Twitter. Forum advocates an anti-censorship law.
