The 79% of Twitter users in Mexico consider themselves a fan or super fan of the Oscars, so during the day of the awards they take the discussion through this social network.
According to a company survey conducted last July, 47% use it days before to prepare and know what is coming, 69% during transmission and 55% upon completion, to tune in summaries and opinions.

Twitter increased unique visitors by 51% during the Oscars in 2020, 7 times more than other leading platforms, according to a report by Comscore Custom Daypart Analysis.
During live events broadcast on TV, 3 times more users are registered on the Twitter platformr.
The audience analysis of Social Content Rating 2020 reported that at the 2020 Oscars, this platform managed to gather 69% of all views and 63% of engagement in competition with other social networks.
The Academy also expressed through a statement that the next gala will be totally face-to-face and will take place this April 25, after last June 15 the delay of the ceremony was announced a couple of months.
The nominations will be this next March 15 and there will be one month for the voting period.
