Twitter is no longer served by SRF3

Now the Twitter users are like the radio listeners: the SRF is overwhelmed with its digital strategy

SRF3 withdraws from Twitter. This causes a lot of trouble among Twitter users, who see themselves as the avant-garde of the Internet. The reason for this could be a new concept.

“Digital first!” is the credo of the SRF. The strategy overwhelms the listeners and viewers – sorry: users – often. All the radio listeners whose favorite shows have been canceled can sing a little about it as they try to warm up to the new formats on Instagram and YouTube.

Recently, Twitter users have felt the same way – those people who saw themselves as the digital avant-garde. This week, the company announced that the @SRF3 account would no longer be maintained. “We say goodbye to Twitter and are happy to be there for you on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube,” says the last tweet.

So now Twitter is suffering the same fate as radio: it ends up in the media graveyard – right next to MiniDisc and carrier pigeon. RIP! It doesn’t matter that SRF 3 has over 175,000 followers on Twitter – significantly more than on Instagram and more than three times as many as on YouTube: digital first!

SRF Kultur also announced its reorganization this week. Soon you are divided into 1 “Multimedia Teams (MMT)” which are led by 11 “offer managers” and 9 “coaches” as well as 4 coaches in “job sharing” and are bundled into four “groups”. The reason for this: “We will plan and think digitally first even more decisively.” To ask?
