The social network has added a curious novelty for all iOS users. From now on, each user will be able to record and create totally personalized GIFs to respond to any interaction on Twitter.
Although this format is not something especially new, it is quite used by people and that is why this function has been included. How to create your own GIF on Twitter?
Using this novelty is quite simple, but in any case, the platform has explained step by step how to create your own GIF. For the above you must:
- Open the Twitter app
- Press the “+” button to start writing a tweet or tap on a tweet’s speech bubble to reply; if this is the case, you will need to select the camera icon located at the bottom left of the screen to open the photo album.
- Then swipe to select the GIF option. If necessary, you will have to frame the scene and then press the red record button. Twitter will automatically stop recording after half a second and create your GIF.
- Select between the two arrow icons at the top of the screen to determine how the GIF will play. The arrow pointing to the right will play from the beginning (“→”); whereas, the arrows pointing both to the right and to the left will make it play and then go in reverse (“⇄”).
- Click on “Use GIF” and that’s it. If you wish, you can accompany it with a text and publish it whenever you want.
It should be noted that the files cannot be edited in the application. However, they are saved on the device in case you want to use another app to do so.
