After Elon Musk got into Twitter, he started firing people quickly, firing four high-level executives on the first day. Last week it was reported that Twitter was cutting 3,700 jobs. But today, Bloomberg reported that Twitter fired the wrong people, and the company is contacting dozens of unfairly fired employees to invite them back to the company.
Bloomberg cited sources claiming that dozens of employees have been unfairly fired and some of them have work experience that will help Elon Musk’s reforms in the future. Management realized that the wrong person was fired only after the dismissal process was completed. Affected employees are now being contacted and it is not known whether affected employees are willing to return to Twitter.
Elon Musk has yet to respond to the dismissal of the wrong person, but Twitter founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey has taken responsibility for the massive layoffs. Jack Dorsey apologizes for letting Twitter grow too fast in the past.
For Elon Musk’s swift and massive layoffs, Twitter employees accused the company of firing workers without warning, allegedly violating a law requiring large corporations to give 60 days notice before mass layoffs. They intend to file a class action lawsuit in the San Francisco courts.
