Twitter blocked Trump’s account for 12 hours, during which time he won’t be able to post anything, and said future violations by Trump could result in a permanent suspension. The company requested the removal of three tweets from Trump, including a short video in which he asked supporters to “go home” but also repeated falsehoods about the integrity of the presidential election. The Trump account deleted those posts, Twitter said. The company had threatened that if it did not delete them, it would extend the suspension.
