Twitter buys Squad in an attempt to develop exchanges on its platform

We are very grateful to all of our customers around the world and are excited to build the future on Twitter. Squad was closed on December 12, 2020. ”

Like TikTok, Squad is one of those forward-looking social platforms. In 2019, when Esther Crawford, Ethan Sutin, and their teams started rolling out the Squad project, the primary goal was to recreate a real connection between users. By buying Squad, Twitter would therefore seek to change the way its platform operates while retaining the fundamentals. Ilya Brown, an executive at Twitter said: “Squad will help Twitter bring new ways to interact, express themselves and participate in the public conversation.”
