“Twitter Blue Fails to Gain Traction as Elon Musk’s Subscribers Fall Short”

American media said that Twitter is suffering severely from the “Twitter Blue” service, which is also known as the “blue authentication mark”.

According to the “Mashpal” report, since last November, “Twitter leader” Elon Musk was only able to convert 640,000 users to Twitter Blue subscribers as of the end of April.

The report said that among the approximately 150,000 early Twitter Blue subscribers, there are still about 68,000 subscribers who have maintained their paid subscription until April 30, and it is worth noting that subscriptions cost $8 per month, up to $11.

This disclosure comes about 6 months after the launch of this service, amid the great media coverage of this service. According to information that reached the Washington Post and was previously published, there are more than 50% who canceled their subscriptions, and Mashpal’s report finds that this rate is abnormally high.

The latest Twitter data from last month shows that the percentage of Blue subscribers with a low number of followers has not changed. About 291,180 subscribers have less than 1,000 followers, approximately 107,500 have less than 100 followers, and approximately 3,350 subscribers have no followers at all.

The American businessman and billionaire, Elon Musk, recently raised controversy, after announcing a plan to develop the Twitter platform, which would allow media publishers to charge users.

“This enables users who did not subscribe monthly to pay a higher rate for passing each article,” Musk said in his announcement.
