Side of Twitch, we explain: “As expected in our processes, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has violated our community guidelines and our terms of use. These apply to all of our streamers, regardless of their status or importance in the community. ” The platform has already reimbursed subscribers to Dr Disrespect, deleted his emotes, and canceled his affiliate status.
Recently, Dr. Disrespect had made very biased comments regarding the coronavirus epidemic. According to Kotaku: “He got into the habit of engaging in various controversies while relying on his character of Dr Disrespect to give himself a plausible denial, each time he went too far. “
