Twin confusion: – – The children are brothers, cousins and twins

There is an old saying called “like children play best”, and rarely has it been more valid than for two Mr. and Mrs. Salyers in Virginia in the United States.

Sisters Brittany and Briana (34) met brothers Josh and Jeremy (36) during a twin festival in Ohio in 2017. It did not take long before Cupid’s arrows found their respective targets, and half a year later the brothers went down on their courtship knees.

The couple – who are all identical twins – moved into the same house, and on 5 August 2018, the stage was set for a double wedding that was shown in the reality series “Our Twinsane Wedding” on TLC. Not long after, the twins split happy message on his shared Instagram account:

“Guess what!!? Both couples are pregnant! ”

Plan the conception

In an interview with the Australian TV show Todaythe sisters were able to reveal that they had planned the pregnancies carefully so that they could give birth as close to each other as possible.

– We have experienced most of the milestones in our lives together; birthdays, take the driver’s license, confirmations and double weddings. This would be the next big event, and we would love to experience it together, Brittany told the host.

Now both couples have each had a son, and just as they hoped, the boys came into the world only a few days apart, writes Insider.

Identical DNA

In October last year, the proud parents shared a beautiful picture of the two boys Instagram with the following comment:

“Jett and Jax: Cousins, Genetic Brothers and Quarter Twins.”

This created confusion among many of the followers.

However, a user could explain in more detail what the parents meant by what they wrote in the post:

“Their mothers and fathers are identical twins. Both parents therefore had the same child. It is the same identical DNA that has created them both. “

“Identical twins share the same DNA and both sets of parents are identical. If the family takes a genealogy test, it would identify the children as siblings, not cousins ”, added another user.

Many have pointed out that the two boys look almost identical.
