SEOUL, Dec. 21 (Yonhap) — K-pop girl group TWICE will release a new single in English in January and their 12th EP album in March, its representation agency, JYP Entertainment, announced on Wednesday.
The group also tweeted a promotional image that includes dates for upcoming releases, with text that appears to indicate that the English song will be released on January 4th.
Details of the new releases, including the song and album name, have not been released.
The nonet was one of the most streamed K-pop artists of the year on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, alongside BTS, BLACKPINK, Stray Kids and Seventeen, according to the list announced earlier this month , for the service.
In the United States, TWICE was the most streamed K-pop group of the year on Spotify, with 289.41 million streams of their songs, as of December 15, according to JYP Entertainment. Globally, his songs have been streamed more than 5.5 billion times.
“Between 1&2”, the group’s latest release and their eleventh. EP, was released on August 26 and debuted at 3rd place on the “Billboard 200” list.
