The restart in the eighth round of the Tuscan Grand Prix led to utter chaos on the straight on Sunday afternoon. Race leader Valtteri Bottas decided to increase the pace at the last moment, but further back a number of drivers had already pressed the accelerator. It led to a serious crash on the straight that ended the race for Kevin Magnussen, Antonio Giovinazzi, Nicholas Latifi and Carlos Sainz.
