Twelve Azureans officially selected for the Tokyo Olympic Games

The French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) communicated on Friday a list of 189 athletes selected for Tokyo. The French delegation will number 378 in total this summer in Japan.

Twelve Azuréens are included in this first list.

While he was hoping to be drafted following his French record set last Saturday (20.75m), the Nice shot putter Frédéric Dagée was not selected.

Despite his galleys due to the storm Alex and the destruction of part of his training structure, the Lantosquois rider Alexandre Ayache has been summoned.

As expected, swimming has the highest contingent of athletes. Four maralpine swimmers will be present in Japan.

As it stands, no Varois appears in this list, but some disciplines have not yet revealed their selection.

The list

Boxing: Mourad Aliev (Legion Nice).
