The twelve athletes of Val-d’Oise in the running
– Emmanuel Lebesson (table tennis, As Pontoise Cergy Tt). Emmanuel Lebesson could succeed where Patrick Chila (in 2008), Adrien Mattenet (in 2012), Tristan Flore, Marcos Freitas and Kristian Karlsson (in 2016) had failed to stand on the podium. The 33-year-old table tennis player, who returned to AS Pontoise Cergy TT (ASPCTT) last April after a season in Germany at Neu-Ulm, is entered on all three tables (single, team and mixed).
– Delphine Delrue (badminton, Us Ézanville-Écouen). Of the Paris 2024 generation, she is the only Valdoisienne selected for the Tokyo Olympics. The badiste Delphine Delrue, 22, managed to get her ticket for the mixed doubles.
– Rémi Feuillet (judo, Republic of Mauritius, Jc Villiers-le-Bel). Among the qualified Valdoisiens, the judoka Rémi Feuillet, 28, created THE surprise. The member of Jc Villiers-le-Bel, son of Frédéric Feuillet (coach who revealed Samah-Hawa Camara and Messie Katanga), will represent the Republic of Mauritius in – 90 kg.
– Petro Pakhnyuk (gymnastics, Ukraine, Albonian from Franconville). From July 24 to August 3 at the Ariake Center, Petro Pakhnyuk, 29, will participate in the artistic gymnastics team event under the colors of Ukraine.
– Mouhamadou Fall (athletics, Efcvo). He is the only Valdois athlete (valid) qualified for the Tokyo Olympics. The splendor of London (9 qualified in 2012) seems far away. The Entente Franconville sprinter Césame Val-d’Oise (EFCVO) is however a very good representative who fully deserves his selection in the 4×100 m event.
– Bruno Naprix (Paralympic athletics). Guide for the visually impaired athlete Timothée Adolphe (world record holder in the 60m T11), Bruno Naprix will participate in the Paralympic Games. Le Plessis-Buccardésien will participate in the 100m T11 event (for visually impaired athletes) on September 2 and 3 at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo.
– Arnaud Assoumani (long jump, Paralympic, Efcvo). At 35, a brand new EFCVO licensee, Arnaud Assoumani is taking part in Tokyo for his fifth Olympic Games in a row.
– Lara Grangeon-De Villele (open water swimming, Aass Sarcelles). She could become the 14th Valdoisienne medalist at the Olympic Games and even win gold.
– Lamya Matoub (karate, Aass Sarcelles). Some will see it as a sign. Sunday, June 13, Lamya Matoub thought she had missed her last chance to go to the Tokyo Olympics, losing in the 2nd round of the Paris Qualifying Tournament in + 61 kg. Forty-eight hours later, the member of AASS Karaté Sarcelles was officially… selected!
– Krystyna Panchishko (swimming, Aass Sarcelles). On June 19 in Setubal (Portugal), Krystyna Panchishko won his ticket at the last minute for the 10 km open water swimming at the Tokyo Olympics.
– Anzhelika Terliuga (karate, Ukraine, Aass Sarcelles), Iryna Zaretska (karate, Azerbaijan, Aass Sarcelles). Best club in the world in combat with more than 20 world and 30 European titles, the AAS Sarcelles Karate has acquired a reputation which ensures it a wide influence and allows it to welcome foreign champions. In 2017, the arrivals of the Ukrainian Anzhelika Terliuga (- 55 kg) and the Azeri Iryna Zaretska (- 68 kg) created a buzz. Each of them ensured their qualification for the Olympic Games in February 2020, finishing in the top 4 in their category in the Olympic ranking.
