PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia officially launched the retro-style scooter, TVS Callisto 125, Sunday (21/1/24) in Yogyakarta. Interestingly, TVS offers the Callisto 125 in two variants and with prices starting from IDR 21 million.
J. Thangrajan as President Director of PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia said that the presence of the Callisto 125 is to complement the Callisto 110 line which TVS previously launched in Indonesia.
“The company’s focus is to satisfy consumers and their growing needs with new product innovations. The TVS Callisto 110 has become one of the most unique automatic scooters in Indonesia with several unique features since it was first launched in 2019,” said Thangrajan in an official statement received detikOto.
“As consumers rethink solutions for their mobility, this inspires us to satisfy consumers with ‘Something More’ than the previous version,” he continued.
Talking about ‘something more’, it is clear that the 125 makes this latest Callisto more powerful than the Callisto 110. This Indian manufacturer installed a 124.8 cc engine into the Callisto 125.
This single cylinder engine is claimed to have 8.05 HP at 6,500 RPM and 10.5 Nm of torque. TVS has also incorporated Ecothrust Fuel injection (ETFi) technology which is claimed to make the engine more efficient in terms of fuel use and also smoother, has good durability and is reliable when driving.

Callisto 125 is also equipped with the TVS intelliGO feature which can turn off the engine during idle conditions while traveling, aka idling. The presence of this feature makes the Callisto 125 claimed to have minimal exhaust emissions and is fuel efficient.
In terms of shock absorbers, the TVS Callisto 125 is equipped with telescopic shocks at the front and rear shocks in the Monotube Inverted Gas (MIG) model which can be adjusted in 3 levels.
For braking matters, TVS has equipped the Callisto 125 with 220 mm disc brakes at the front and 130 mm diameter drum brakes at the rear. These brakes are installed on the front and rear wheels measuring 90/90 R12.
TVS uses a frame called High Rigidity Underbone for the Callisto 125. In terms of posture, this motorbike is 1,852 mm long, 681 mm wide and 1,168 mm high. Meanwhile, the seat height is 790 mm and the weight is 109 kg.
Interestingly, the TVS Callisto has a 5.1 liter fuel tank which can be accessed from the front, precisely in the left body compartment area. Meanwhile, the storage compartment to the right is a 2 liter capacity glove box which is also accompanied by a charging port.

TVS sells the Callisto 125 in two variants, namely Basic and Premium. For color choices, the TVS Callisto 125 Basic comes in Mustard Yellow (yellow) and Khaki Brown (brown). Meanwhile, the Callisto 125 Premium is available in Solid White (White) and Titanium Gray (gray).
PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia sells the Callisto 125 at prices starting from IDR 21 million for the Basic variant and starting from IDR 22 million for the Premium variant.
