TVP in mourning. Robert Sadowski, a long-time TVP employee, has died

The Białystok branch of TVP announced the death of Robert Sadowski, editor of Telewizja Polska. A long-time employee, he co-created television programs from 2007 to 2021, and left at the age of 40. “Friendly, with a heart on his sleeve. Always smiling and always helpful. (…) He was an editor. He worked mainly on the production of “Lense”, as well as Catholic programs,” we read on the TVP Białystok website.

Paweł Hołubowicz, a film operator with whom Sadowski collaborated on the film “State Forests: Sleep in the Forest”, also dedicated his Facebook post to Robert Sadowski. They had plans to create more film productions, which will now be postponed. The man died after a long illness.

Robert Sadowski often worked on documentaries. His portfolio includes titles such as “The Sejny Uprising of 1919” from 2009 or “Something He Loved Most…” from 2012, a documentary about the struggles to create the Czesław Niemen museum in his family home in Stare Wasiliszki in what is now Belarus.

The death of Robert Sadowski is another unpleasant event that has recently affected the employees of Telewizja Polska. In February, Anna Napierska-Matuszewska, associated with the station’s Bydgoszcz branch, died. Stanisława Ryster, the host of “The Great Game”, a television icon and a legendary figure of Polish Television, also recently passed away.
