TVB dubbing actors are leaving in waves. Following the recent resignations of Liang Zhida, Xu Ying, Liao Xinyi, and Xiao Huiyong, yesterday (27) it was reported that senior dubbing actor Chen Xin has resigned. The FB pages “Japanese and Korean Anime Variety Show Dubbing Film and Television Information Station” and “Brother Dunsheng Library” both announced the news of Chen Xin’s departure from TVB, saying that there are still 42 people in the TVB dubbing team, and it is reported that other dubbing actors will leave one after another.
Chen Xin approached work as a freelance voice actor in 1984, and subsequently joined ATV and TVB dubbing groups. She has voiced in many dramas, variety shows and movies. Her representative works include the narration of the “Prize Doorman” series, “Cherry Blossoms” Maruko” narration, Liu Jae-suk’s dubbing in “Running Man”, Yosuke Eguchi in “Tokyo Love Story”, Ji Jin-hee in “Dae Jang Geum”, etc.; he has also voiced for Jet Li, Aaron Kwok, Shan Liwen and Ekin Cheng in movies, and has In 1990, Tang Ronghuan, who immigrated to China, became Jackie Chan’s second-generation designated voice actor. TVB artist Song Yifang uploaded several screenshots of conversations on IG, saying that she had received someone chasing her via WhatsApp, and also pointed out that she had become the guarantor of “TVB dubbing group Chen Xin”. However, Song Yifang said that she did not know Chen Xin and had not signed the contract. Any guarantee is suspected of being misappropriated by Chen Xin, who was written as the contact person and guarantor when borrowing money. In 2021, veteran voice actor Long Tiansheng also reported receiving threatening calls and letters, saying that he had earlier appeared with a well-known voice actor on “The Voice”.
