In the second half, more would happen. First Real Madrid equalized through Marco Asensio, and then Real Madrid got a penalty – they thought. After a VAR review, it turned out that Eder Militao took his hand in his own penalty area before Real Madrid countered and received a penalty.
The referee then stepped out and looked at the VAR screen, and decided to blow the penalty for Sevilla. The Real Madrid players were furious, but the penalty was a fact and Ivan Rakitic stepped forward. Rakitic made no mistakes and 2-1 was a fact.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, managed to get up. In extra time, Toni Kroos tested from a distance, and when the ball was on its way to goal, it fought on Eden Hazard’s foot and into goal. The star became a point saver after the criticism he had to endure after laughing after the CL exit.
Real Madrid thus took important points in the battle for the league title.
