TV UNAM will broadcast the Book and Rose Festival 2024 live

Mexico City. From April 19 to 21, TV UNAM will broadcast live the most relevant activities of the 2024 edition of the Book and Rose Festival from the headquarters of the University Cultural Center, to commemorate World Book and Copyright Day. Likewise, within the framework of this celebration of reading, the documentary The Padilla caseby Pavel Giroud, on Friday, April 19, at 10:00 p.m.

The activities will begin on Friday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m., with the opening conference Conquest and counterconquest: the resources of language, by the writer Juan Villoro and the presentation by the writer Rosa Beltrán, coordinator of UNAM Cultural Diffusion. This conference will also be broadcast live on the official Facebook page of TV UNAM.

At 3 p.m. the dialogue table will be broadcast Like worlds, languages: some philosophical approaches, with the participation of the writer and academic David Bak Geler and the writer Sara Uribe, holder of the Rosario Castellanos Chair of Art and Genres. Moderated by Bruno Velázquez.

The activity is scheduled at 4 p.m. Karaoke Do you sing this protest with us?with the participation of the writer and documentary filmmaker Daniela Rea, the writer and journalist Adolfo Córdova, the curator Amanda de la Garza, general director of Visual Arts and the University Museum of Contemporary Art and the writer Socorro Venegas, general director of Publications and Editorial Promotion .

At 5 p.m. it is the turn of the talk About the work of David Toscana, with the participation of the writers Raúl Carrillo Arciniega, Mónica Lavín and Eloy Urroz, holder of the Carlos Fuentes Extraordinary Chair of Latin American Literature.

While at 6 p.m. the Tribute to José Agustín will be broadcast with the participation of Andrés, Jesús and Agustín Ramírez Bermúdez and a palomazo by the musician Jaime López and the writer Julián Herbert. The tribute can also be seen through the official Facebook page of TV UNAM.
