The final battle for victory at Ironman Hawaii 2019 will be broadcast live on ARD on the night of October 12th to 13th. The sports show will then broadcast live images from Kailua-Kona between 11:55 p.m. and 3:45 a.m.
After two years on ZDF, it is now ARD’s turn to broadcast the Ironman Hawaii again. The HR triathlon experts Ralf Scholt and Dirk Froberg will moderate and comment on the race pictures.
The hr television goes home game with a special broadcast! extra live on air from 9:45 p.m.
Depending on the course of the race, the new Ironman World Champion can be expected to cross the finish line at around 2:25 p.m. local time (2:25 a.m. CEST) – with a target time of 8 hours. The new Queen of Kona should stretch the finish tape on Alii Drive at around 3:15 p.m. local time (3:15 p.m. CEST) – with a target time of 8:45 hours.
After the live broadcast, the ARD will then broadcast the 50-minute report at cool down: Myth Hawaii – the toughest triathlon in the world.
