The bonus consists of one 20% discount on the purchase price of a new television, up to a maximum amount of 100 euros, and with the contextual scrapping of an old TV that it was purchased before December 22, 2018, the effective date of the HEVC MAIN 10 coding standard.

The good news is that the contribution for the scrapping of the TV is cumulative for the purchase of a device also with the previous incentive (Bonus TV-Decoder) for those who are in possession of all the requisites required (who find all the requirements to have it and what changes with the new digital terrestrial).

TV scrapping bonus, like scrapping your old TV

Scrapping can be done directly at dealers adhering to the initiative from which the new television is purchased, delivering the obsolete TV at the time of purchase. In this case, the retailer will then take care of the correct disposal by taking advantage of a tax credit equal to the discount applied to the buyer.

Alternatively, the old TV can be delivered directly to an authorized ecological island, before going to buy the new one. In this case, the employee of the WEEE collection center must validate a special form, which certifies the successful delivery of the appliance. With the signed form, the user can go to the participating stores and take advantage of the discount on the purchase price.

To verify that a TV or a decoder are among the products for which it is possible to take advantage of the bonus, a list of “suitable” products.

What do you find in the form? In the self-declaration form, which must be signed both by the customer who buys the new TV and by the retailer who disposes of the old one, we declare that:

• the television set, brand_____________ and model________________ was purchased before December 22, 2018;
• to have delivered the aforementioned television set to the retailer_______________ located in the Municipality of ____________ in via__________________ or to the municipal WEEE collection center located in the Municipality of ___________________, in via_______________________
• to be the holder of the RAI license fee.
