Las Vegas will host an F1 GP from 2023

On the occasion of the United States Grand Prix held this weekend, Formula 1 has formalized the extension of its broadcasting contract with ESPN Networks (Walt Disney Company) in the USA.

In detail, this 3-season contract, until 2025, ensures at least 16 races per year on ABC and ESPN. The ESPN + OTT platform will also offer an additional offering. We recall that the group had recovered the rights for the 2018-2022 cycle.

With 3 races on the 2023 calendar and the arrival of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the United States is becoming an important growth territory for F1 and its owner Liberty Media. The audience is on the rise and the 2021 season had an average audience per race of 949,000 spectators.

This year, the first Miami Grand Prix was aired on ABC it recorded an average audience of 2.6 million viewers.
