The second wave of covid-19 hits even Argentine television, affected since the fateful 2020 in terms of production, especially fiction.
The protocols, the prevention measures, the entry and exit of personnel in the recordings, the thin advertising cake and the rating increasingly turned towards the platforms of streaming they keep the small air screen on alert, without outstanding news and with repeated cycles on the state channel. Meanwhile, very slowly, fiction takes shape again in the big production companies.
The two main contenders on the national screen, ElTrece and Telefe, continue to bet on reality television at all hours, with the chimento show from morning to afternoon, among famous seamstresses, aspiring chefs, cans of soap operas, interactive entertainment of proven formats that hook with the evening news and prime time reality shows plus the must-see, indulgent Turkish novels!
Until now, and almost without interval since the first edition in 2020, “Masterchef Celebrity II” gives Telefe around 20 rating points every night.
That bastion of 10:30 p.m. is the one that will come to fight, from tomorrow -an hour and a half before- ShowMatch back, from the hand of Marcelo tinelli to ElTrece. But very soon Telefe will redouble the bet with another reality show, La Voz Argentina 2021, in search of Tinelli’s viewers. The battle for the rating is declared this month, although until now the winner has been, for years, the channel of the balls.
