TV Monument Continues: Dionne Stax Takes Over After Han Peekel’s Passing

The program TV Monument continues after the death of presenter Han Peekel last year. Dionne Stax takes over from him. The first episode of the Omroep MAX program can be seen on NPO1 Extra on December 4.

The programme, which has been around for almost fourteen years, focuses on people who play a remarkable role in the radio and television world. In the new season, Stax will talk to Karin Bloemen, Martine van Os, Hans Kazàn, Dione de Graaff, Olga Commandeur, Sinan Can, Bert van Leeuwen and Gerda Lenten Havertong.

It is directed by Han Peekel’s daughter, Cato-Margo Peekel, and her husband Casper van Rheenen. “I’m very happy that we have new episodes of TV Monument can and may make,” says Peekel. “Unfortunately my father can no longer contribute to it, but it is nice and nice to be able to continue his life’s work in this way.”

Peekel, who died in December 2022, presented the program from 2009 until his death.
