At the German youth team championship (DMSJ) on Saturday, the four teams from TV Jahn showed strong team spirit: two second, one third and one fourth places came for the Wolfsburg team in Göttingen. In addition to placement at district level, qualification for the subsequent DMSJ state competition on 11th/12th depended on fast times. November in Hildesheim. The eight fastest teams in an age group across the country will meet there – three Wolfsburg teams will definitely be there.

In the “openly female” rating, Jahner Alina Leitloff, Nina Koprucki, Liv Dykan Andrés, Lara Lucht, Alissa Leitloff and Leni Kosak achieved second place behind TWG 1861 Göttingen. So we can look forward to seeing you again in November. The team in the Youth B category (born 2008/2009) female, Ana Garibay Estrada, Lucy Schröder, Lilly Lischnewski and Marie Marpert, also achieved second place – with a performance that entitles them to take part in the state competition. The SSG Braunschweig could not be beaten.
Lennart Röhl writes club history
In the “openly male” rating, Toni Angerstein, Maxim Schlaht, Ben Butros and Lennart Röhl achieved third place and thus also secured their ticket for the next round. The fastest team was once again SSG Braunschweig. As the starting swimmer in the medley relay, Röhl also beat the old club record by half a second in the 100 m backstroke in 59.28 seconds, thus writing the next chapter in club history.

Max Keuneke, Tristan Otto, Eric Stolecki, Mihail Schejkin, Ruslan Buchynskyi and Jasper Daft narrowly missed out on a medal in the Youth B male category. They fought for fourth place, ASC Göttingen took victory. With regard to the state decision, these Jahners now have to keep their fingers crossed that at least one of the eight faster teams foregoes their start. The plan to be there again with everyone in Hildesheim can still work.
