It was a very emotional Nick Cannon (41) who on Tuesday shared the sad news of his youngest son Zen’s death.
– This weekend I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus (water head journ.anm) – a malignant, invasive brain tumor. It’s tough, Cannon said on his talk show “The Nick Cannon Show”.

Seven children with four different mothers
Cannon first became known through the Nickelodeon series “All That”, and has later made a name for himself as a rapper, comedian and TV host. Among other things, he has been the host of well-known TV programs such as “America’s Got Talent” and “The Masked Singer” – the American version of “Maskorama”.
Last year, the TV host made headlines when it became known that he was expecting a child with three different women at the same time, and went from father of three to father of seven at six months.
He already had twins Monroe and Moroccan Scott with ex-wife Mariah Carey, and son Golden with ex-Brittany Bell.
It was also Bell who in December 2020 gave birth to the daughter Powerful Queen.
In June of the following year, Cannon had twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with DJ Abby De La Rosa, before a few weeks later he had a son Zen with model Alyssa Scott.
Responded to breathing problems
So it is the five-month-old son Zen who has now passed away.
On his talk show on Tuesday, Cannon told the audience that the tumor was discovered three months earlier when the son was two months old.
Cannon and Alyssa Scott had reacted to the fact that their son’s head was so big, and were afraid he had developed a sinus problem since he also coughed a lot and breathed strangely. But what they thought would be a routine check was instead a brain operation where the doctors inserted a shunt to drain out the fluid in the brain.
“But things only got worse from there,” Cannon told the audience Daily Mail.
During the Thanksgiving weekend a little over a week ago, the son’s condition must have worsened, before he finally died on Sunday 5 December.
Cannon told the audience that he spent the last weekend with his son and his mother in California where they, among other things, went for long walks on the beach.
