TV Anime ‘The Pharmacist’s Monologue’ to Air on Japan TV in October: New Visuals and Cast Information Revealed

TV anime “Yakuya no Hitorigoto” to be broadcast on Nippon TV from October. The latest visuals, PV, and additional cast information have been released, with Tsuyoshi Otsuka playing the role of the beautiful eunuch, Jinshi.

The series is a popular palace mystery-solving entertainment set in medieval East Asia, where a “poison taster” girl solves various difficult incidents that occur in the palace. The original novel was serialized on the novel posting site “Shousetsuka ni Narou” in October 2011 and later published by “Hero Bunko”. The manga is currently being serialized in Monthly Big Gangan and Monthly Sunday GX, and the comic books have been released, with a total of 21 million copies in the series.

The director of the TV anime will be Narihiro Nagasumi (“The Ancient Magus’ Bride”, “Yowamushi Pedal The Movie (2015)”). TOHO animation STUDIO and OLM (“Odd Taxi”, “Komi Can’t Communicate”) will collaborate on the animation production.

Tsuyoshi Otsuka (as Jinshi) commented, “There are many people who are looking forward to how the charming and unique characters and the various events that take place in the splendid palace will be depicted with what kind of sound and music and what kind of colors.
