Wershing was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. When reached for comment, her rep said she had “nothing more to share” other than the news.
The actress’ husband, Stephen Full, told Deadline: “She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t need music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you.”
Wershing is a mother of three and was born in St. Louis.
She began her screen career with appearances in films such as Bruce Almighty and series such as Star Trek: Enterprise, Enchantress and Supernatural, before landing a recurring role as Renee Walker on 24.
