Hollywood stars earn their living by doing low-paying jobs
Many big Hollywood actors and musicians once earning huge sums of money thanks to their talent, after scandals or because their careers simply failed, are forced to make money in other ways. Thus, some of the world’s biggest stars say goodbye to their glamorous and luxurious lives and instead work much lower-paid jobs such as salesmen, cashiers or waiters and lead a lifestyle different from the one they are used to.
One recent such example is Sex and the City star Chris Knott, who played Tuzara. He recently became the target of ridicule after sharing a video on Instagram promoting a mapping app, a year after facing multiple allegations of sexual harassment. Social media users saw the post as a desperate profiteering move after five women came forward in December 2021 to accuse him of sexual harassment, which he later denied.
Now Chris Knott is trying to be a good husband and get his wife and family back. His wife, Tara Wilson, moved out of their home for a while and toured America because of the allegations against the actor. The stories are from many years ago, and he claims it was consensual. The one incident, however, was during his marriage, three years after he married Tara.
A total of five women complained about Chris’s lasciviousness. The latter says he groped her when she was working as a hostess and singer at Da Marino restaurant in Manhattan in 2010. She was only 18 at the time and Chris was 55.
Knott is just one of many stars turning to other work to make ends meet after a career slump. After starring in 2017’s Call Me By Your Name, Armie Hammer is poised to become Hollywood’s next golden boy, but his sudden popularity plummets when multiple women accuse him of rape and cannibalism, leading him to flee to the Cayman Islands , where he began working as a package vacation salesman.
The Cosby Show’s Jeffrey Owens was spotted working at Trader Joe’s in 2018, and “Boy Meets World’s” Daniel Fishel briefly wrapped gifts at Bloomingdales.
Some Hollywood legends like Peter Ostrum from the movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”, who now works as a veterinarian and takes care of cattle and horses, or the actress Kay Panabaker from “Summerland”, who is an employee of Disney World, simply realize that acting is not for them and they decide to do something completely different and have no regrets.
