Tuy Phuoc District Department of Education and Training informed about parents accusing teachers of abusing children

(PLO) – The Department of Education and Training of Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province has issued a report related to the case of parents accusing a teacher of abusing children at a preschool facility.

On March 14, discussed with PLO, Mr. Nguyen Hung Tan, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province, said the district had received a report about the case of parents accusing the teacher. violence children at Sao Sang private preschool facility (Tuy Phuoc town, Tuy Phuoc district).

Parents share pictures and suspect their children have been abused on social networks.

According to Tuy Phuoc district leaders, this report is compiled from inspection results as well as camera extraction from the school and from working sessions between relevant parties. The incident was not child abuse as initially reported by parents on social networks.

Specifically, the Department of Education and Training of Tuy Phuoc district reported, through the school’s camera extract, that at about 8:45 a.m. on March 6, in the classroom for a group of three-year-old children, the children were playing with their friend sitting next to them, the teacher. The teacher grabbed and squeezed my shoulders to turn me around.

Next, at 3:00 p.m. the same day, another teacher asked the children to sit in the correct position. One child did not sit, so she pulled the child’s arms and led him to sit with his friends. At this time, the teacher discovered a bruise on the child’s shoulder but did not notify the school or family.

At 5:00 p.m. the same day, the grandparents came home and discovered that there were many bruises, so they took pictures and sent them to the parents (the baby’s parents were being treated in Ho Chi Minh City, so they sent the baby to the grandparents to take care of).

Discovering that her son had many bruises and suspected of being abused, the child’s mother called the teacher to ask for an explanation. However, they all answered that they did not know and did not clearly explain the activities on March 6.

According to Tuy Phuoc District Department of Education and Training, this behavior of teachers and schools has led to parents being upset and posting information on social networks.

According to Mr. Tan, after receiving information, the district directed specialized units to coordinate with the police to investigate the incident. Through working with the parties, analyzing and clarifying the cause, the child’s family agreed not to complain or sue.

The school admitted its fault for poor management and inconsistent behavior, leading to frustration among parents. At the same time, the school suspended the two teachers involved and apologized to the parents’ families.

Before that, as PLO information, dated March 8, from parents’ feedback accusing teachers of abusing children at Sao Sang private preschool. Tuy Phuoc District People’s Committee dispatched specialized units to verify the incident report.

“After this incident, we directed the district Department of Education and Training to coordinate with localities to review all private preschool establishments in the area. At the same time, report and advise the district on management work to avoid incidents from occurring. unfortunate cases that affect teaching activities and ensure a good environment for children” – Mr. Tan added.
