Tuscany red zone: obstacles on the road to orange, between meetings and bureaucracy

Florence, 27 November 2020 – And now look at the calendar because surprises are just around the corner. There quarantine of Tuscany in the red zone ends on November 29th, in a few hours, Sunday since 14 days have passed since the traffic light passage from the orange zone.

So green light from Monday 30 November? Or at the latest from Tuesday 1 December? Not at all. It takes the so-called ‘technical times’ or you have to deal with the bureaucracy at the time of Covid. Absurd? It seems so if you think that one more closing day for a shop means more losses and suffering.

The CTS, the technical-scientific committee meets in fact on December 3 Thursday and not earlier. The go-ahead, as taken for granted by now, cannot therefore take place before Friday 4 December. But four long days pass since November 29th. The waiting process was told by the president of the Tuscany Region himself Eugenio Giani this afternoon during his speech live on Rai news 24.

And he confided that he hopes that times can be shortened in some way too if it doesn’t have much hope. In short, Tuscany after two weeks in the red zone to chase traces, to multiply tampons, to increase the Usca, special units, at home, to armor the RSA, to still count many deaths especially among the elderly population, now has to do the math with a green light in slow motion.

A mockery that risks to fuel anger especially of those who have been closed in these 14 days such as clothing stores or many street vendors who cannot open their stalls at the markets. In short, the road to the orange traffic light is still full of obstacles.
