On Friday evening, SC Pernegg welcomed EKRO Tus Krieglach in the Lower League North A and had to admit defeat with a score of 2:6 after an eventful match. The guests really turned it on, especially in the second half, and ultimately gave their opponents no chance. This was a more than desirable start to the season.
Lightning start from SC Pernegg and quick response from Tus Krieglach
The game started anything but as Krieglach had hoped. Jakob Schneller put his team in the lead with an early goal from a scramble. The joy did not last long, however, because just eleven minutes later, in the 18th minute, Laurenz Täubl equalized for the guests from Krieglach. The game continued to pick up pace, and in the 37th minute it was Laurenz Täubl again who put Tus Krieglach in the lead with his second goal of the evening.
Krieglach turns up the heat
Immediately after the restart, the fate of Penegg took its course. In the 50th minute, an own goal by Benjamin Himsl made it 1:3. Despite the setback, the hosts did not give up and continued to fight. Krieglach dominated in all respects, was always one step faster and also showed footballing quality. Pernegg, on the other hand, offered far too much space, failed to put the opponent under pressure from front to back and gave the opponent too many opportunities. While the first two goals by the visitors were nicely played out from the side, there were then many gifts from the home team.
In the 61st minute, Laurenz Täubl added his third goal of the evening, giving Tus Krieglach a 5-1 lead. SC Pernegg tried to limit the damage and scored the home team’s second goal through Mathias Kahr in the 80th minute. But even this goal could not turn the tide.
In the 90th minute of injury time, Thomas Schwaiger put the final point to the match with his goal to make it 2:6. Shortly afterwards, the final whistle sounded and EKRO Tus Krieglach was able to celebrate a well-deserved away win.
