According to US media reports, a 71-year-old woman survived a bizarre accident in Florida, USA. She was driving with her daughter on the motorway near Port Orange when suddenly there was a knock – and an object crashed through the windshield. It hit the head of the woman in the passenger seat.
Her daughter stopped the car and saw that her mother had a bleeding wound on her head. A driver who came to help explained that there was a turtle in the car.
The mother was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The turtle survived and, according to the local fire department, only got a few scratches on the tank. The cause is believed to be that another car hit the animal and threw it up.
