Following the safeguard procedure finalized in July 2020, the Covid-19 epidemic delayed the resumption of the productions of the EuropaCorp Group which, however, was not impacted by the closure of cinemas. As the recovery prospects have been postponed until the second half of 2021, the operation of the EuropaCorp catalog constitutes the bulk of the revenues for the 2020/2021 financial year. The consolidated annual turnover of EuropaCorp thus stands at 41.5 million euros, down -41% compared to the previous year (69.8 million euros).
Perspectives
The EuropaCorp Group is pursuing its strategy to launch new film productions with a target of two English-language films and one French-language film per year, and English-language television series with strong international potential.
EuropaCorp has several film projects ready to be put into production, but the evolving sanitary conditions linked to Covid-19 have significantly complicated the organization of production, especially for English-language films with an international dimension.
The Company has continued to develop content corresponding to the typology of films and TV series that have made the Group successful, the production of which will begin as soon as possible.
