The author of the YouTube channel Digital Dreams specializes in changing and improving the look of games through various modifications. This time he decided to transform Grand Theft Auto V in GTA: Vice City – the result can be seen in the latest video of the blogger.
To change the visuals of Grand Theft Auto V, the author of the video first installed the mod PRV — Project REVIVE… He creates “Fabulous atmosphere” in a project that fits Vice City. Then the blogger transferred the locations from the game 18 years ago to GTA V and applied 4K textures to them. True, the author did not indicate with what modification he did it. He may have used Vice Cry: Remastered… And to heighten the effect, Digital Dreams installed ReShade with the RayTraced Global Illumination shader, which simulates real-time global illumination, just like ray tracing does.
The result of the blogger’s work can be seen in the video above. It turned out to be ambiguous, because, on the one hand, the game really began to resemble Vice City. And textures and objects of the environment with such an assembly of modifications look much better than in the original 2002. On the other hand, mods heavily load the system, and they cannot achieve visual integrity alone.
